Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit (NICU)

Sometimes newborns, especially those who are born premature or with health problems, need specialized medical care during their first days. Saint Clare’s Level II Intermediate Care Nursery houses eight bassinets and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, advanced monitoring and charting systems, private rooms for moms to breastfeed or bond, and a separate family waiting area. In addition, our staff of specialized, board-certified neonatologists is on hand to meet the unique requirements of our “special needs” newborns.

Neonatology services are provided in-house, 24/7, by the MidAtlantic Neonatology Associates for the newborn nursery, NICU, labor and delivery, and any admission of a baby 28 days and younger.
