Saint Clare’s Behavioral Health Offers a Substance Abuse Walk-In Department
Boonton, NJ (February 21, 2019) – Saint Clare’s Behavioral Health offers a substance abuse walk-in department at 130 Powerville Road, Boonton, New Jersey 07005, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. For more information call 973-316-1846.
Anytime during open hours patients can arrive at their convenience and are made to feel welcome. They are directed to an inviting and comfortable area where recovery related literature and light refreshments are available. Each substance abuse patient is evaluated by a registered nurse and a clinician. Once a comprehensive evaluation is completed, the team works with the patient to allow their immediate admission into the Detox Unit or they receive a referral to an appropriate level of care.
For patients found to be in need of co-occurring services department staff will coordinate care and process a direct admission to the Adult Voluntary Psychiatric Inpatient Unit in Boonton. In this unit patients can receive inpatient detoxification treatment comfortably under the care of a medical and psychiatric team in an environment with enhanced safety regulations.
The walk-in department is staffed by an experienced unit secretary/receptionist with 30 years of experience at Saint Clare’s, a clinical coordinator, RN, certified alcohol and drug addiction counselor, and a licensed social worker with a graduate degree in social work.
