The Women’s Health Center at Saint Clare’s Dover Hospital, and the Parsippany provide accurate screening and breast imaging, diagnostic evaluations, procedures, and education.

Comprehensive Breast Surgical Services, located in the Dover Hospital, offers exceptional care from a board certified breast surgeon with extensive experience in caring for patients with breast care, benign breast disease, and patients at high risk for breast cancer.

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence

Saint Clare’s Women’s Health Center in Dover has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that achieve excellence by seeking and earning accreditation in all of the ACR’s voluntary breast-imaging accreditation programs and modules, in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program. Saint Clare’s Women’s Health Center is fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy and MRI Breast Imaging ACR Certification.

3D Mammography

Saint Clare’s Women’s Health Center at Dover is pleased to offer 3D mammography, also known as digital breast tomosynthesis. This diagnostic tool, which offers the lowest dose of radiation available, can detect small breast tumors by taking multiple, digital images of the breast allowing for enhanced examination of breast tissue aiding in early detection.

Patient comfort is a highlight of this technology. The environment and the technology promote a sense of calm with elegant lighting and a soft-curved surface that may reduce anxiety and discomfort. The machine’s soft armrests have replaced older grips, so rather than tensing muscles to hold a hand grip, patients can rest their arm comfortably and relax their muscles.

Patients who may benefit from 3D mammography include those who are at high-risk for developing breast cancer and/or have a history of needing follow-up diagnostic mammograms after a routine, annual screening.

This technology, along with Saint Clare’s specialty-trained staff, offer the latest in early detection in an environment that is focused on the patient. Our radiologists are board certified, specializing in mammography and the early detection of breast cancer, and our Women’s Health Center staff are trained to care for the breast patient. If surgical services are needed, Saint Clare’s offers breast surgical services from specialty-trained breast surgeons.

Dr. Ukrainskyj is an accomplished breast surgeon with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating breast care patients, patients with benign breast disease and high risk patients.

Breast Cancer Treatment

Our breast oncology team includes medical and radiation oncologists. Cancer services at Denville Hospital provide hormonal therapy, radiation therapy, and breast surgery treatments, in addition to wellness and support services.

Our team of breast cancer specialists, which includes pathologists, radiologists, medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists and support professionals is constantly growing. Saint Clare’s oncology experts collaborate in regular breast tumor board meetings where they discuss the latest treatment protocols and consult on difficult cases. While our doctors work together to devise personalized treatment plans, a dedicated oncology nurse navigator is available every step of the way to provide patients and their families with the critical emotional and educational resources they may need

Breast reconstruction for women after a mastectomy is offered, including state-of-the-art microsurgical reconstructive options. Expert reconstructive plastic surgeons are available to discuss current options and to help you determine which course is medically and physically appropriate for you.

Bone Density Testing

Saint Clare’s state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services include advanced technology in every area of imaging, including Bone Density Testing. Bone density studies are the most common diagnostic tool for diagnosis and management of osteoporosis and other bone abnormality conditions from which women may suffer, and are provided through the Women’s Health Center.
