Suicide Awareness
Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death for all ages in the United States, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. While complex and tragic, suicide can be prevented by knowing and understanding warning signs, risk factors, and how to act when necessary. Treatment may involve emotional support and medication. Hospitalization may also be an option. If you feel you or someone you care about are at an increased risk for suicide, please contact a mental health professional or call a member of our 24/7 Psychiatric Emergency Services team at 973-625-6160 as soon as possible for guidance on specific interventions and treatment.
