Saint Clare’s Health welcomes Anurag Chandra, M.D. to the Center for Cancer Care at Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital

October 3, 2019 (Denville, NJ) – Saint Clare’s Health, an award-winning provider of safe, high-quality, compassionate care, serving the communities of Morris and Sussex counties, welcomes Anurag Chandra, M.D., medical director of radiation oncology for the Center for Cancer Care.

Dr. Chandra is a board-certified radiation oncologist with extensive experience in caring for patients with

cancers of the breast, lung, prostate, bladder, brain, head & neck, gastrointestinal, liver, skin, spine, and

other soft tissue areas. He is especially skilled in highly specialized treatment techniques such as Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), and Rapid-Arc Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT).

Dr. Chandra earned his medical degree at the well-respected Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. After his medical training, he completed his residency at the world-renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. While at NYU Medical Center and Albany Medical Center Hospital, he was the attending physician for the Department of radiation oncology where he developed extensive experience in quality assurance and maintenance programs, and implemented stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) programs for the treatment of lesions of the lungs, spine, liver, and abdomen.

Dr. Chandra is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the New York Roentgen Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

The Center for Cancer Care would like to invite the community, physicians and their office staff, case managers and hospital employees and volunteers to attend the Center for Cancer Open House on Tuesday, October 29th, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 23 Pocono Road in Denville, adjacent to Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital.
