Saint Clare’s Health Establishing

Triage Tents Adjacent to Emergency Departments at Denville and Dover, Restricts Visitors and Limits Hospital Entry Points

Preparedness Planning for Coronavirus (COVID-19) with Morris County OEM and

Picatinny Arsenal

March 17, 2020, Denville, NJ – Saint Clare’s Health, in partnership with the Morris County Office of Emergency Management, the Morris County Office of Health Management and the Picatinny Arsenal, is establishing self-contained, patient triage and assessment tents adjacent to the emergency departments on the Denville and Dover campus’.

“Saint Clare’s Health has been proactively planning, implementing and revising hospital protocols and policies in the wake of coronavirus or COVID-19,” said Brian Finestein, CEO, Saint Clare’s Health. “The implementation of self-contained, patient triage and assessment tents, along with restricted patient and visitor access, enables us to take extra precautions to protect the health and safety of our patients, physicians, staff and our community.”

If the tents are needed, they will be fully staffed by emergency medical staff ready to assess and treat the increased volume of patients.

To further ensure the health and safety of our patients, staff, physicians and our communities, effective immediately, Saint Clare’s Health facilities are locked down and there will be no visitors allowed.

Entrance into the facilities has been limited. All non-employees will enter the hospital through the emergency department at Denville and Dover, and through the main entrance at Boonton.
