New Jersey Improvement and Innovation Network Awards Saint Clare’s Denville and Dover Hospitals 2019 Silver Award for Protecting Patients
Denville and Dover, NJ (December 6, 2019) –Saint Clare’s Denville and Dover Hospitals have received the 2019 New Jersey Antibiotics Aware Silver Award given by The New Jersey Hospital Improvement and Innovation Network (NJHIIN). NJHIIN is committed to working with its members to improve antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASP) and associated patient outcomes. Improving the use of antimicrobials in healthcare to protect patients and reduce the threat of antimicrobial resistance is a national priority. Antimicrobial stewardship refers to a set of commitments and actions designed to “optimize the treatment of infections while reducing the adverse events associated with antimicrobial use.” Thank you to the employees, physicians and volunteers of Saint Clare’s for their commitment to patient safety.
