Program Overview
The Anesthesiology Residency Training Program at Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital
Fully Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
The Anesthesiology Residency Training Program sponsored by New York Medical College at St. Mary’s and St. Clare’s Denville Hospital is dedicated to training the next generation of Anesthesiologists which includes a greatly expanded role in perioperative medicine.
The program seeks to prepare future anesthesiologists to care for patients in and outside of the operating room before, during, and after a procedure regardless of the complexity of the procedure or severity of the illness.
The hospitals in the Consortium (St. Mary’s and St. Clare’s – Denville), are large community hospitals serving an exceptionally diverse patient population with a remarkably broad spectrum of acuity and pathology. The Consortium hospitals differ in several ways but share a long history with the communities they serve. The people living around them, regard these hospitals as “their” hospital. Prime Healthcare Facilities and the Consortium Hospitals strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and caring environment, emphasizing the patient as a person. Patients are comforted by the way care is delivered in these two hospitals.
In alignment with the mission of the Consortium hospitals, the residency training program aims to train excellent anesthesiologists prepared to support high acuity patients throughout their perioperative course. The Prime Healthcare Consortium Residency Training Program is dedicated to training anesthesiologists to provide excellent anesthesia care with an expanded role in perioperative medicine.
